The Railway Children is a charming tale, written by Edith Nesbit in 1906. It follows the adventures of Bobby, Peter and Phyllis, whose lives are changed when their father is taken away by two mysterious men. The family are forced to move from Central London to the countryside of Yorkshire. Playing around and exploring the local railway, the children find themselves on a journey of exploration and adventure as they try to discover the fate of their missing father.

Sevenoaks Players presents one of funniest ever musicals – Sister Act

Sister Act is a 1992 American comedy film with musical arrangements by Marc Shaiman and features a lounge singer who has been put under protective custody in a San Francisco convent and has to pretend to be a nun when a mob boss puts her on his hit list.

Popular musical comedy from the nineties

Sister Act was one of the most financially successful comedies of the early 1990s, and was rated number 83 on Bravo’s The 100 Funniest Movies list.

The Ship Theatre

Walthamstow Hall’s Ship Theatre is situated in Walthamstow HallSenior School grounds in Holly Bush Lane, Sevenoaks, close to the Vine cricket ground.

As well as being the venue for Walthamstow Hall’s music and drama productions The Ship is a fantastic theatre venue for the wider Sevenoaks community and is a popular choice for many professional and amateur dramatics.

The Ship can seat an audience of 199 and has a ‘thrust’ stage design popular with drama and music groups. Car parking is available in the school grounds.
